Silvi - "Perla dell’Adriatico"

Silvi is a wonderful seaside town in the province of Teramo, located on the Adriatic Sea coast, in the Abruzzo region, right in the centre of Italy. It can be defined as an enchanting location, characterized by the beauty of its beaches and the emerald colour of sea waters.

Because of the uniqueness of its nature and for its picturesque charm, Silvi has been defined “Perla dell'Adriatico” (the Pearl of the Adriatic coast) by the “Imaginifico” Gabriele D'Annunzio, one of the most important Italian writer of the 20th century, born in the nearby town of Pescara.

The definition “Perla dell’Adriatico" is still used today to describe Silvi.
