A journey into the nature of the Gran Sasso National Park

A little over an hour's drive from Silvi is the Gole del Salinello Nature Reserve, a protected area of rare beauty. Here you can enjoy pristine landscapes, natural caves, waterfalls, streams and small natural oases, which make it the ideal place to spend a day dedicated to of the adventure.

You can immerse yourself in nature along the mountain paths, some of which are suitable only for experienced hikers. Along these paths you can admire important hermitages immersed in the green among holm oak and hazel trees, or you can follow the itineraries that lead to the mouth of the river, in particular the one that leads to the spectacular waterfall called "Lu Caccheme". Along the way, you can stop in small rocky natural oases where the river flows gently and the time never seems to pass. Here you can treat yourself to a moment of relaxation and a swim in the regenerating waters of the river.

Continuing in the direction of Prati di Tivo or Pietracamela, you reach the heart of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, where it is possible to follow numerous paths on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. Here, you will find yourself immersed in nature and surrounded by wonderful landscapes, woods and clearings, the ideal place to relax and contemplate the beauty of our mountains.
