Sacro Cuore Immacolato di Maria Church (Church of Villaggio)
The Church of the Sacro Cuore Immacolato di Maria of Silvi was built in wood towards the end of the 1950s. In 1987 it was demolished and rebuilt in a position closer to the road, before being enlarged in 2000. The main facade of the building is very particular and is divided into three vertical parts with different materials and heights. In the center is a glazed structure surmounted by a triangular tympanum. The bell tower, slightly set back from the facade, is square in shape and is located to the side of the church.
The interior of the church is divided into two rooms, a central one with a four-pitch roof in reinforced concrete and an external one covered in wood. The altar is located on the opposite side of the entrance and is raised on a podium. The decorations present in the church are given by the polychrome windows distributed along the central axis above the altar and along the entrance wall. The building is built on a system of reinforced concrete beams and pillars which support the four-pitch roof and the laminated wood roof.
The Church of Sacro Cuore Immacolato di Maria of Silvi is a very particular and interesting religious place to visit for its modern and original architecture.
